-raaknews -Massoud, the son of Ahmad Shah Massoud, says the Mojahedin are ready for military action if the Taliban refuse to hold peace talks.

Mr Massoud, speaking at a commemoration of the 8th of Saur in Kabul on Wednesday, stressed that there was no excuse for war with the withdrawal of foreign troops from Afghanistan.

He added: "If the parties see that the solution in Afghanistan is a military solution, we will also increase our military readiness among the Mujahideen, on the advice of the Mujahideen with the support of the people and under the umbrella of the ulema to bring the Islamic system. "That is the wish of all people. God willing, we will get ready."
